that's awesome man! I like drag racing, but I prefer road racing, hopefully one of these days I can scrape together the cash to build a track car

well it almost done. back from the dyno and final assembly is 99.9% finished. we are heading out to Gingerman theis friday for some shake down and if all goes well be inthe races Saturday and Sunday. will get some photos and video this weekend of the car out of the garage and on track. final weight with driver, aero package ,and Kool suit system filled "4.5 gallons of waterand ice. 1 gallon of gas in my 18 gallon cell and I'm at 2,996 lbs. not bad. Ken at Modulardepot.com was able to tune my stock 3valve "long tubes, jlt cold air intake and emrc deletes to a healthy 317 rwhp. our class is kept in check by a rwhp to weight of 9.5 to 1 so I'm light by about 25 lbs but will make it up in fuel load.

more pics to come.

we are finally RACING. With a trip to gingerman with nasa this weekend we made it out. 3 days of track time and the car didn't skip a beat. though we where not the fastest it ended up being a great weekend getting the car out. We finished 4th on saturday and would have been 3rd sunday if not for a flat tire with 5 laps to go. not bad considering we where on worn out toyo tires for the race and had a car that was all over th place on the scales.now that the car is running it's time to get it sorted and balanced and get this car figured out for 2010 season.

Thats awesome. I hate the way that wing looks but its functional so who cares. Congrats on 4th, in my book that is pretty good for your first time out with it.

Thanks, yes I'm not a fan of the wing. it will be replaced this winter with something larger and better looking this winter. I will tell you it does work. we removed it sunday before qualifying. I was all over the place and it was everything I could do to keep the rear under the car. we qualified dead last for sundays race. needless to say it went back on.

Steve,

Sorry I missed seeing you out at Gingerman... It looks like you're starting to get your project all together! Are you going to the season-ender at Putnam?

yup it's finally on the track. plenty of things to do though . We may be at putnam. I'm not going unless I get some new toyos. my toyos are junk hand me downs.

I need to sell a few things before doing that to raise some money to get them.

Was looking for you at G-man notice you did Blackhawk. nice spin by the way . ;)

Im still trying to figure out how this car is so dam light... I have done ton's of weight shavings with k-member, removing seaybars etc. I know this is a race car but look at all the stuff that has been added to the car... one serious heavy cage, bigger brakes, still riding on 18's... Yea the interior is gutted... but still thats amazing.
