sct x3 issue

UPDATE: The tuner just needed to be connected and the update software used.

I have an sct x3 tuner. I purchased it earlier this year for my 08 gt. I recently traded the 08 in on a 2011gt. Before doing so i returned the 08 computer to stock. I just recieved my email computer tune for my 2011 today and loaded it to the tuner and went to load it on the car when i got an error. It was a binary?? error said that tuner may need an update. Unfortunately SCT is closed until monday? Any one run into this before? Is there an update on line for this that i can do myself? I was told this tuner works on the 11's as well.

Interesting....im bout to have my SCT reflashed for the 2011.Hoping not to run into any issues,Im thinking about selling it and just doing a package cai/tuner deal from Brenspeed.

Chances are that you need to update the firmware on your X3. Enter your serial number here http://www.sctflash.com/tsupdates.php?PNID=3000&GUD=1&GSER=1 and follow the instructions to update your device.

That is what i was thinking. I tried doing that on both of my computers and the firmware file will not work....? Cant find a program to open it with.

FIXED!!!! new tune loaded and love it. Apparently by not following the directions on sct's site it updates fine...and it was just the update!
