Guys its that time of year to take the car down and apply something good on it. It will be taken down properly as far as clean the surface. I have always used to finish BFWD paint sealant.....and I detail with Fk452 (I think thats the number) watered down. I allow for something better/different that lasts that I can apply. Can you guys recommend a sealant and detailing spray that's top notch for a black car. Thanks in advance. I go on websites like chemical guys and have no idea what im looking at.

I love this stuff. I'll be stripping my car down and applying it here in the next couple of months for winter for when I do drive it

The QD that compliments it.

^ +1 Sonax Netshield is great stuff...

With how many coatings are on the market now I'd suggest trying one out...CG Second Skin, CQuartz, etc..

If he decided to go with a coating, I'd suggest CQuartz UK. However, there's a whole lot more involved in apply a coating -mainly the prep work.

Yes, at least SPNS, it's awesome. It acts like a coating just last around 6 months. To me it darkened my black some and is very glossy.

How much does one can last? I still can't believe that works for 6 months. I was getting that out of the BFWD. Anyone else have any other intermediate skilled required sealants.

JetSeal109 is a good sealant that chemicals guys makes that has good longevity without a lot of work. Apply and let it sit for a few hours and then simply wipe away.

Cquartz or CG Second Skin are even better choices if your willing to put in more labor and time.

I was looking at jetseal as well. Having something that buffs off nice and isn't too dusty is a plus. Are these products easily buffed off? Again thanks for the help.

Jetseal109 can be machine or hand applied and you just remove it with a quality microfiber. Buy some V07 Sealant spray while your at it to detail and wipe down with and your set.

I recommend mild machine polishing to achieve a good bond, optimal depth, gloss, and clarity.

Power lock and FSUPP are the same by hand or machine and buff off easier then SPNS.

SPNS is by hand and can be kinda tough but once you get it down its not bad. You just have to be quick.

CarPro Reload
http://www.carpro-us.com/exterior-s...anic-spray-sealant-500ml-now-25-more-product/

This one is pretty easy to apply - last 4-6 months. There's a new formula coming out in a couple of weeks, suppose to be even easier to apply...Reload will leave a glossy and slick finish - I applied over the top of CQuartz UK on my ride...

As far as application, Sonax Netshield or Reload takes the least amount of time apply.

All of the products listed so far are all great, whichever one you decide to go with - definitely order from autoality...

I really need to try these Car Pro Products. I'm slacking. I've been hooked on Menzerna.... The results I get have been second to none.

Menzerna is hard to beat when it comes to compounds/polishes. CarPro polishes can be tricky but all the other CarPro products I've tried are excellent.

I am getting ready to try Reload this weekend on my Opti coated car as well as on a G35 I am detailing next week, have heard from many people (some on here, 28ONE) that it is great stuff. BFWD is a good go to but I haven't used them in a long time, I think they changed their formula a few years back and heard mixed things so I never gave them another shot.

I would steer away from Jetseal109 but that's just my opinion, over priced and outdated. The durability was never there when I tried it and for that price, there are way better sealants available.

Just remember to use one MF to spread Reload then a different MF to buff off. One spray of Reload per 2x2 section
