Seperate Classified Sections for 05-09 and 10-13

When searching through it's sometimes hard to distinguish the difference between some peoples for sale ads due to the ambiguity of if the parts are for 05-09 cars or if they're for 10-13 cars.

No need for two separate sections, in my opinion. Sellers just need to specify.

On a semi related note I do think the 05-09 tech section should be relabeled to "05-09" instead of "05+".

^^ it should read 05-10 as the 10's are still 3V's.

Yeah but why not do this, 05-09 chassis, 10-13 chassis, 3v engine tech, 5.0 engine tech

It's just confusing having a 5.0 car because chassis wise we match the '10 cars but our motor is different so exhaust components and shifters and stuff are different.

Because 05-09 and 10-13 is all the same chassis. They are all s197's 05-13.

They're a lot different actually. The suspension components are different, spring rates are different on lowering springs, coilovers, etc. A lot of stuff between the cars is different. The fenders, headlights, grills, bumpers, hoods, interiors, etc etc.

CHASSIS IS THE SAME 05-13, THEY ARE ALL S197's.

Obviously they redesigned the outside appearance and interior among other things starting in 2010. Or are you still confuzed?

Not many people order a chassis...I can see the merit in having seperate for the different years. 10 could be listed as mutant!

Sorry if Im still not clear, I was being off topic and stating the fact that its the same chassis from 05-13 to correct what was posted. Has nothing to do with if i think there should be different classified sections for different years. Uggg my head hurts now guys geeze... lol But now back to that topic, no I dont think there should be differnt sections and this topic has already been discussed a few times in this section and its been veto'd.

as to the classifieds - sellers should be specific to MYs if they aren't there threads should be deleted.

Also, please follow these rules or ads will be deleted!

1. Post a pic of YOUR part you are selling, not some factory or internet catalog pic!

2. In the pic, your screen name must be written on paper and laying with the item being sold, so we know it is YOUR item and not someone elses pic you are trying to use as your own.

3. Location! No location, no sale ad!

4. Please include the model year that the part is for

I agree the last thing we need is more work for the mods and admins. We have so many sections now, with more new guys all the time, that I don't know how they manage to keep everything cleaned up.

So how about the other (derail) topic of correcting the name of the 2005+ Mustang GT 4.6L Tech forum to 2005-2010 Mustang GT 4.6L Tech ?
Also, there is a 2005+ Ford Mustang v6 4.0L Tech forum (which should be corrected to whatever years the 4.0 was sold) but no tech forum for the new 3.7 V6. Ford changed the lineup a few years ago, I think the forum categories should reflect that.

IMO, it's not a issue, the members we want here know that 05-10 were 4.6 3V and that the 11+ are 5.0.

That's weird, these rules obviously don't apply to everyone. My for sale post was pulled but there are many ads that don't follow all the rules.
