My 2005 started life as a street car for about a year, then I started racing it and removing lots of stuff to reduce weight. I have the original Shaker 1000 head unit and the car speakers, but took out the subwoofer and amps and sold them long ago.
I'm now putting the drag car back to a streetable configuration, and would like to get something beyond the head unit and OEM speakers (six of them?).
If there is a plug and play system that uses the existing harness, I'd really like to know about that. But I'd like to use the original head unit, but don't mind replacing speakers and adding an amp somewhere. I'm 55 and love classic rock and blues, and don't need to flood the neighborhood with low frequency sonic attacks, just enjoy clear rock and roll with some volume at highway speeds.
