stock airbox differences in 05-08 ?

friend of mine is having a Roushcharger put on his 08 Bullitt. The Ford dealer says they have to have an 08 stock airbox. I told him I'd give him my 05 airbox but the dealership said they're different, true ?

They are different but your 05 intake will work. I think there was a different hydro carbon trap built into the 05's but most people removed them. That would make the part #'s different but they are basically all the same.

The trap was not located in the airbox, it was in the intake tube.

the mounting at the gromet to the fender is slightly different, some also had different screw types to mount the mafia, stupid little changes,
