Slight difference between the factory Upper Control Arm and the beefy BMR unit, eh? ;)

Thanks ... I think they're made/owned by MHT which makes some pretty expensive stuff, and the Foose wheels too, so they should be good.
Vossens, between their finish issues and high prices, are not for me.

You have the newer design of those wheels. Mine are the generation before and the spokes go into the rim deeper on the back side. Which means if one gets damaged I have to replace the set.... but they are a great looking wheel for sure.

Looking good Gabe!

Decided to keep the AMR wheels by the way, they just go with the car too perfectly. Will have to save my pennies for boost a little longer!

Thanks Billy, they DO look great on a Sterling Gray car ... I still see pics of my car with them on and love the look.

Today I ordered a pair of Nitto NT555 G2's in 275/35/20 from Discount Tire Direct, for the new front wheels.

They were $197.20 each, cheaper than the old 555's by almost $1/tire, and the guy said I should have them in my hands in about 7-10 days

Hope to have them mounted/balanced and on the front of the car shortly thereafter.

Received my new front tires today.
Cool to know that I'm one of the first customers to get their hands on these new 555 G2 tires :)

I have a pair of G2's in the garage. I can't wait to get them on and see how they hook.

Got the new front tires/wheels on today.

Was surprised to see the wheels use 2 valve stems per wheel, one on the back and one pointing straight toward the center of the wheel closer to the front edge.
There was a bit of talk elsewhere about whether the front valve stem might touch the caliper.
It doesn't:

And lots of clearance on the back:

And the mandatory installed pics:

Gabe, Im real curious about the handling and noise from these tires, will be following your post to learn!
Looks real good BTW

Thanks! I just took the car for a drive up and down the road and they felt smooth, but I only got it up to about 30 mph
Looking forward to getting the rear wheels and tires installed too and then a proper test drive!

Got the rear wheels/tires mounted/balanced today and installed on the car.
Looks like I might have to adjust the panhard bar a tiny bit toward the right, but the bar is gonna get replaced by a BMR Watts link soon anyway.

Absolutely love the look :)

The height difference between the 305/40/18 and the new 305/35/20 555R's:

And the weight difference.
58.6 lbs for the 18" set-up:

62.4 lbs for the new 20" set-up:

That looks perfect Gabe. The concave on those rears is just plain awesome. Surprised how small the weight difference is going from 18 to 20s. Not bad at all.

Thanks Albert.
The concave-ness is the same front and rear.
All 4 wheels are 20x10 with 40mm offset.

Ah I see now, the concave on the rear seems more exaggerated to me for some reason. Probably due to how the tires fit on there.

Yeah it looks more concave to me too, which bugs me cuz I purposely wanted the same width front and rear so that the fronts wouldn't look flatter than the rears, lol

I got back under the car today and re-adjusted the panhard bar since it was off to the left a bit too much.

The new setting has the tires sticking out 3/8" on both sides, axle perfectly centered:

During the wheel balancing done yesterday, making me think that the car will look awesome moving at speed with these new wheels on it,
which will also show off the 14" brakes front and rear nicely:

So as it turned out the rear of the car is sitting a tad bit too low and over certain bumps there is tire rub, so far mostly on the passenger side. Found the panhard bar wasn't centered 100% so I re-adjusted it, but also ordered and (today) received new Steeda adjustable rear spring perches along with their Steeda/Hypercoil rear coilover springs in a 200 lb rating.
The Steeda Sport rear springs currently installed are rated at 175 lbs.
Hoping that between the stiffer spring and a slightly taller ride height, there won't be any more tire rub.
Will try to get to installing them tomorrow.

Got them installed today and so far so good.
Car sits about a half inch higher in the back, it gained a nice stance that makes me drool every time I look at it, and it drives a bit firmer but certainly not annoying, it handles great and so far seems that the rubbing is gone.
I need to do a bit more "testing" and put a couple hundred miles on the new set-up and see how the springs settle before I call it done.

The new stance as of a few minutes after the install:

Some pics from the install of the perches and new springs.

The new springs are a must-have if doing these perches since they're quite a bit shorter allowing room for the perch:

20160221_springs3.jpg

Something good to know is that the new coilover springs are the same diameter as the Sport springs, so the Sport springs should certainly fit just fine on the adjustable perches, but they would most likely lift the car a bunch, even with the lower spring rate of 175 lbs VS the shorter spring's 200 lbs:

20160221_springs4.jpg

As far as the install itself, I removed the rubber lower spring seat, cleaned it up, and installed the perch and tightened it as much as I could (I set the torque wrench to 85 ft-lbs and it never got there, it just went from turning to a stop point - Steeda doesn't specify a torque spec).
Steeda says to grease the threads, I used anti-seize, and also applied anti-seize on the inside and bottom of the rubber spring seat to keep any rust from forming, then re-installed the round plastic cap from the stock perch to the top of the Steeda perch:

20160221_springs6.jpg

And how the new set-up looks once installed and set to the current setting that lifted the car a half-inch over where it sat with the Steeda Sport springs installed:

20160221_springs7.jpg

20160221_springs8.jpg

One slight issue I had was the driver side LCA relo bracket (CHE unit) gets in the way of the lower shock bolt, so I couldn't remove that bolt, I ended up removing the top nut and letting the axle droop down that way, with the shock still attached to it, then just had to be more careful when lifting the axle back into place, making sure that the shock shaft was going into its hole.

Today I took my new rear spring perches apart and installed them the right way, while also adjusting them up a tiny bit more, so the right rear measurement from the ground to the top of the wheel opening is 29", left rear almost a half inch more, but the driver side has always been higher ... I'll adjust it down in a few more days, bring it down a 1/4" or so.

20160227_perch05.jpg

Tried re-installing the rubber seat and it wouldn't fully go on:

20160227_perch06a.jpg

And the springs wouldn't fit properly, they wouldn't sit down onto the spring's seat:

20160227_perch07.jpg

So now without the rubber thing the springs fit perfectly onto the seat:
