Throttle Body question

Not sure if this is the right place for this. I have a 2008 GT500 with 2.9 Whipple. I have a Cobra Jet TB on it. Is anyone running that one and are you having any issues with it?

most TB issues are in the tune. did you have the tune set up for the CJ TB?

as stated above, its in the tune. But, I have seen NO issues with that TB on gt500s. We have ran a few of them. Not much gain at all like any of the TBS for our cars but for the most part, works good.

Tuner has done a bunch with CJ TB, Says the tune is in for the TB. It does not do it at the track at full throttle. Only like 1st to 2nd Gear with just a little more than avg pedal.

What problem are you having? I installed the FRPP/Whipple 750hp kit on my buddys '10 GT500 and he's having some issues we think is throttle body related.

It does not do it @ full throttle. Mostly from 1st to 2nd with a little more than avg throttle. Pro Dyno is doing the tune. Dan is a level 4 SCT tuner.

when you installed the TB did it come with the electronics or did you take them off your stock TB becuase that could be the problem as well!

The CJ tbodies come with electronics on them.

Yes the CJ TB comes with them, We are actually going to try the electronics of the old TB just to see if it still does it. It actually looks the same.

yeah generally on all TB you can use your stock electronics. when i bought my L&M it was only a lil more expensive to get it with the electronics. but yeah you might have receieved a defective TB it happens

10-4 , my guy is going to check the tune again also just in case. If the weather would ever turn around, LOL 30 deg and ice in NC, not good for testing ! ! !
