Ticking noise from exhaust

Hello, My 05 mustang gt just started making a ticking noise from the drivers side exhaust pipe and I want to think it’s a exhaust leak possibly from the manifold but maybe this has happened to someone before and they can help me out. Thanks in advance!

Yeah it does seem like you have an exhaust leak. The stock manifolds themselves aren't known to crack but that doesn't mean you don't have one. A broken engine mount could be the underlying cause if that's the case. There could also be a leak from the exhaust manifold gasket to the cylinder head or the flange to the downpipe.

I'd guess leak at the manifold or down where the manifold meets the catted section of the H-pipe

Get a 2-3’ of 5/8 fuel hose and use it as a stethoscope. You will hear if the car does have an exhaust leak.
