Hello Gang,
Last week I went by the new Mini Cooper Dealership facility in Brentwood, TN.

It is located off the same road I use to drive to daily while working for the Acura Dealership.

So, it is only like 10-miles from our house now.

I took our current 2011 MCS over for it's scheduled service.

Then dropped in and talked with the G/M (General Manager) a buddy of mine.

We use to work at the Chevrolet Dealership in Franklin, TN. where I live.

He told me all about the completely new Mini Coopers coming out for 2014.

They will be all BMW for 2014 and built in England in a Super Modern Facility.

I went back home and talked it over with Cathy (Wife) and we both decided to order her the new 2014 MCS.

The color we decided on is called, "Blazing Red Metallic".

We went on the Mini USA INTERNET Build Site and built exactly what she wanted.

The approximate delivery time is 6 to 8 weeks.

I do have the On-Line color pictures of the MCS we built I can post.

Also I have several really good videos I can post for you to check out.

Cathy is very excited about this as this will be the 1st totally new car she has ever completely built and special ordered.

Damn 37 for a mini?

Even the FIAT's are pretty expensive for what you get. The Hardtop Mini starts at ~$20k.

The only FIAT worth a damn would be the Abarth. I see more of those than any other model around here. Apparently the Abarth is the only FIAT 500 that can be autocrossed/raced. The regular 500s are a little too tall for safety requirements.

Thanks guys this will be the Very 1st New car my wife Cathy has ever had.

I'm speaking of exactly what she wants and not me telling her what she wants.

Regarding Fiat ...

Way back when I did have a Brand-New X-19 Fiat.

Right after I purchased it guess what ???

Fiat pulled out of the USA :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

See the X-19 in the background behind the Suzuki Pro-Bike ???

That is it and it was a Freaking Nightmare to get serviced after Fiat pulled out of this Country !!! :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

Yes I use to ride Very-Very FAST Pro-Street Bikes.

Earl
Hi Earl ...

I was at my Mini Dealer this morning and talked with a few of them that had recently went to CA. to test drive them.

They both said it, the 2014 MCS is a really New Mini in all aspects.

Congrats on the new ride, Terry! A guy at my last autocross event scored the FTD in a stock Mini Cooper S. Beat all the Corvettes, Lotus's, S2000s, Miatas. They are definitely fast, fun little cars.

But am I the only one that thinks the all new Mini looks like all the other Minis? It's like the 911, unless they are sitting side by side, I can't tell one year model from another. LOL

And BTW, I love that Fiat X-19 in the pics. When I was a kid, we lived in an apartment complex, and there were two X-19s in the parking lot. I lusted after those cars even before I knew what that meant!

Congrats Terry!

My pops ordered his 08 S and watched the production of it online every day. Awesome setup they have.
I gave him The Italian Job on dvd when he ordered it, went to the dealership with it in my coat pocket, gave it to him as soon as he threw down the check. Salesman said it was a first for him to see it done that way.

Nice fun, little cars. But 37 is way to much, that is what my Mustang stickered for...

Hope you have better luck with yours. I know two owners of them, tons of problems with theirs.

Congrats, glad Cathy got to pick out her car. My wife picked out a Fiat 500 (several years ago) we slightly modified it lowered springs, CAI and a timing black box. She loves it

Thanks and you are right they are Super-Fun-Machines. :highfive:

I agree with you I'm no Mini expert at all.

The new 2014 to me looks like MCS.

And as far as the general public I can assure you they would not know one MCS from another.

I bought that Metallic Black X-19 Brand New and it was so cool.

But then almost as soon as I took delivery of it Fiat was gone like overnight from the USA.

Man it was a real nightmare to get it serviced. :soapbox:

I have the DVD Double-Pack that has the 1st original movies and then the 2nd has the remake.

Man, fun movies for sure.

Oh, and it is fun to be able to Track one's MCS through the different stages.

Awesome how it shows it going through the build process.

Yes, that is so cool !!!

I'm pretty sure you are referring to the other Member that has the Fiat.

I have no idea how the new ones are but I sure do know how the X-19 was that I had.

Looking good for sure.

The wife, (Cathy) is real excited over having her 1st Brand New Car that she picked out.

Hubby did not take over things this time.

We did the order together as she knew I know all when it comes to cars and ordering them.
