Trip odometer resetting itself?

Every so often I look at my trip odometer on my 05 gt and it is different from time to time. Like the other day it was at 5 or so and the the next day after doing more than 30 miles it read 20. Any ideas?

I believe it resets every 1,000 miles...

When you start your car, does it take a second for your dash lights to come on or your clock on the radio also reset? I had a bad cell on my battery and I had these issue happening as well as my trip meter reset.

No none of that. But I was reading online that alot of S197s do that trip odo thing so I guess I am no longer really concerned. lol.
