Trying to buy drag radials, M&H or M/T ET Street II's

Looking to buy some drag radials for this weekend to put on my 18x8.5 fanblades. Considering the 275/45/18 M&H DR's and the 265/40/18 ET Street II's. A few people around here have had good luck with the M/T tires but they are short. I am running stock 3.55 gears and am not sure if I would be better off with the shorter M/T or the taller M&H.

Mods, Comp billet ball bearing 67mm turbo @ 9.5 psi, C&L manifold, BBK TB, Tokico D specs shocks/struts, BMR springs, Competition Engineering LCA's, WOT Box/2 step

I think you would be better off with the M/T's. It takes lots of low end torque to pull 28 inch tires with 3.55 gears. I have had both and I could run the 28's with 3.73 gears but when I went to 3.27 gears I dropped the 28 inch tires. I currently run the M/T P295/45R17 which is a 27 inch tire but I have an auto, with the advantage of a big Circle D TC.

I thought the taller taller would spool a bit faster and may give a higher trap speed. I didn't know if it would rap out too fast with the shorter tires.

I have and use the M&H 275/45/18 DR and I have no problems hooking with 640+ rwhp and 500+ rwtq

I don't think I'm as concerned about hooking up as much as I am with needing a taller or shorter tire. The m/t just seems really short but I don't have a lot of experience at the strip.

Stang! the camaro doesnt do MAM very well. No cool down. Im just trying to figure out how to drive up there on street tires and then throw the slicks on? Maybe ill just stuff them in my gfs trans am haha only thing there good for anyway

im running a 26x10 slick and am really happy with it. But also with a 4.10 gear. I had 28s and was running out of rpm in the 1/4.

buy the mt et street in 27.75 and if you dont like them you can sell them to me for a smokin deal.

LOL. I'm lookin at putting them on my fanblades so my only real options are the M/T 265/40/18 (26.5") or the M&H 275/45/18 (27.75").

I'm still trying to get you a smoking deal on some skinny dark stars........

haha this might be a good weekend to get rid of those. Go with the M/T you will regret it if you don't. Probably have better traction because of the R2 compound then you would with the bigger tire from M&H
