Ok so my car has been on the dyno for 2 days now. My tuner has been working on it. We also have had some help from Blow By Racing with there tune.

Anyway biggest issue is idle. It don't want to idle worth a shit on first start up. You have to rev it up to about 1500-2000rpms for the first 15 seconds or so. Then the idle will be ok. But once shut off it does it all over again. Then around 3000rpm's it has a stumble as well. Once you hit about 3500rpms all the way to 7500 it is great. Any idea's? There is some issues with fuel trim levels as well. I can send data logs to look at if need.

MODS: Paxton SC, 80lb injectors, BBK LT's, O/R X pipe, Boss intake, KB BAP. We had a 3.3 pulley on it but switched back to stock pulley.

We was seeing 14.5lbs of boost and from Paxton we should have seen about 11/12lbs of boost with the 3.3 pulley.

We tried 60lb injectors with the 3.3 pulley also same thing. Even though it was a little smoother from what remember but I am sure that could just be in tune.
What would you recommend? 72's?

Thanks.

Now here question? If it is indeed the injectors the 60's should give a smoother idle correct? Is this why it was smoother? Just then needed tune adjusted more?

I am pretty sure that the 60's will give similar problems as the 80's. We only ever use either the 47's that come with the Roush/Whipple kits, or the 75's that we sell. What kind of power level are you going for here?

I know that the one time we tried the 80's when the 5.0s were fresh on the market, getting them to tune/idle/drive properly just wouldnt work.

Hoping to see 650-700whp with the 3.3 pulley.

The maf is before the tb. In the straight pipe from the intercooler.

80's are easy to tune for. We do it all the time. With all the datalogs we have from Jeff (dyno shop) calls with SCT that have been made on both sides, pretty much have an idea on what to do.

Brad- you will see a new file sent over in the next couple hours bud.

ok...Jeff is expecting it. We see how it goes. Just want other opinions. Few have said the 80's don't do well in the 2011's.

I am not sure if this will help or not but we started to dyno tune my car today. I am using Injector Dynamics 72lb injectors and the idle quality is great.

However, my maf was almost max'd out at 4500 and by 6000 it was pegged. So my tuning stopped early too. My tuner is ordering a MAF. My numbers so far are 526hp at 5981 rpms (7.8 lbs of boost) on a Mustang Dyno. We were reading your post today to see what issues you are having since the maf max'd out so soon.

Pro-M swears it is not there maf. Yet it is pegged. And acting all crazy. But that is ok I now have a fix for the car on the stock MAF. I will post more details later on the fix. Now to call BBR see if they going to refund me on this none working MAF since I bought from them.

I just bought the same MAf. My Tuner (CRT) ordered it from BBR for me so I hope mine works.

What was your fix using the stock maf?
