Tuning issues

Yep 3.8 to be exact. Which after a conversation with Pro-M they think the MAF is the issue now. Said it needs some huge work with it to make work. Basically some major tuning...But all that should be unneeded soon.

Well my car is idling fine and the surging is gone. Will be finishing it up next couple days. Fine tuning that is. This is with the stock MAF and still using the blow through set up. We have help from Jon Lund. Can't thank him enough. We did also take the 80lb injectors out and put a set of evo's 75lb injectors in that chuck gave me a great deal on.

I will contact BBR to get the Pro-m maf sent back since it is bad for one and since it is not needed. I also have everything to switch to draw through if needed later when I turn up boost and not have to worry about stock maf pegging.

Well car runs like raped ape for the most. But the tranny is acting stupid now. Got real hard go in 3rd and 5th now. Right before we go to change clutch. Plus the misfire code I had a long time ago has come back. Demodding the car starts tomorrow and I also pick up a 2012 Auto tomorrow. Everything will go on it.

This is the second tranny issue. Ford replaced the first tranny when the car had about 2500 miles on it. They never really figured out the misfire. They just threw parts at it. It came on then I cleared it and it didn't come on till today.

I heard that all the MT82 problems are made up and it's that people don't really know how to drive the car. Must be you, can't be the Chinese piece of shit, right? :roflmao:

My first manual car and everyone is going to auto! What's going on!

the '11+ autos are faster on the track and, so far, much more reliable. If I knew what I know now when I traded my '10 for an '11 I may have gotten an auto as well. I just love driving a stick around town though, it's so fun (for the times the trans will cooperate).

wow really....that stinks that you did all that work and its gotta come off. you had no inkling that the tranny was going again? Just outta curiosity are you getting hammered on the trade in, and is the dealership concerned at all about it being tuned at one point.

They don't care at all that it was tuned or had the supercharger on it. They know it had both. They know I am switching everything over and let me keep the trade till I am done. Which should be today if all goes well.

they just wont disclose it to the buyer of the car Im sure, "oh by the way, your awesome new 5.0 has no warranty coverage" smh. OP this is by no means a shot at you, I just know dealerships all to well
