So i was running 15x10 racestars wrapped in nitto 555r tires and still had only 20 psi in them from the track the other day.

Now I had enough wheel hop at the track that i just knew i was going to break something, but i didnt, ran a 7.86 1/8 with a 1.8 60ft lol.

But today on the street I jumped on it and shifted 1st to second coming up an off ramp in town and got wheel hop and BAM!!! the next thing i knew loud noises, I pulled over and the drag radial was rubbing the front of the drivers side wheel wale and was cut to shreds.

got under there and looked, the whole drivers side axle tube has twisted forward and everything just pivoted around the lower control arm and went forward.

Im going to pull the rear end and weld the axle tubes in place, check for more damages, add an adjustable upper to adjust my pinion angle, add brackets lower the LCA mount so that i can plant the tires harder (I already have poly LCA's) and i might as well add adjustable shocks and a set of lowering/launch springs while im at it.

the hard part is finding prings that will lower it good, and still launch good.

just thought I would share this, I have never seen an axle tube twist lol

You had to have some pretty nasty wheel hop to do that kind of damage. You should take it to the Ford store and have them repair it under warranty! LOL

The axle tube just spun where its pressed in the rear end

Looks like a pin or spot weld helps hold it, but it sheered.

Yea the LCA's are angled wrong, im gonna get relocation brackets.

CHE makes a kit to help this

Wheel hop is like detonation. Doesn't matter what HP you're at, it will break things.

I'll be surprised if you don't have more damage inside.
