We would like to use a V6 grille on our GT facia of our American Iron cars. Has anyone actually done this, tried doing a search, only to read a lot of vague answers

someone on this forum has done a V6 grill into a GT fascia swap. It looked pretty good, they had to run some moulding around the outside because the V6 grill is a little smaller.

or just do what i did and find a person to do a full swap. its quit easy to find someone with a v6 that will gladly take your gt front end. it turns peoples heads like crazy especially making big power with nasty cams. confuses the shit out of them lol

The reason for trying to use the V6 grille wasn't so much for looks, we wanted to cut the center out and use a stainless steel mesh to keep junks of race rubber out of the radiator. It's tough to cut the centers out of the GT grille because of the foglight surrounds. We already have multiple facias painted up for this car. The other purpose was to lose the foglights for weight and they block air to our oil cooler

The Bullitt grille looks great, but theyr'e kinda pricey just to cut the center out of them. You can get V6 grille for next to nothing

Myself and a few others did it (before Bullitt grills were available). Yes, the V6 grill was smaller and had to be attached with rivets because the tabs do not line up.
