Anderson Ford says you need to buy an upgraded MAF with their powerpipe.
I thought the stock MAF was good to 500 crank hp.
What about the 110 JLT?

Don't know for sure but I'll soon find out as I am making my own power pipe without Anderson. I'm sure others while chime in that will have moree detail on the stock limits. Did you relocate the IAT portion yet ?

I just started a thread on that today, I wasn't going to initially but my plans include a CR bump and Meth/N20 spray.

I have the MAF that came with my e-force competition air intake and I believe it's a stock MAF in their new 95mm housing. I'm probably between 550-600rwhp right now and I'm only at 80% on it.

Seems I had to add the Mafia when I went from 450 to 500 rwhp I had a 3.5 pipe.

Sounds about right, most of the drawthru set-ups use bigger tubes.

Im using a 3" tube and maxed out the stock maf with mafia at setting 3 at 560rwhp. So i went to a ba5000 with mafia. I currently run the mafia (setting 3) with a ba5000 and made 650rwhp with plenty of maf counts to spare. This setup should be able to make around 800-900rwhp in a 3" tube blow-thru.

Really , I have had the stock MAF with the Mafia on 3 to 700/700 rw with no issues . Maybe its the pipe size.

Yup pipe size is a big factor. For driveability, its easier to tune on the smaller pipe thats why I wanted to keep the 3".

Stock maf/mafia at setting 3 at 560rwhp i was at 1050 maf counts blowthru setup.

Based on others results i figured i could have made more with the stock maf/mafia but on my setup it wasnt the case.

Well it seems looking for 400 RWHP the stock MAF and a 3 1/2 inch tube should work. Guess I dont' need to spend 500 on a CAI afterall.

I've never experienced it before but I've always wondered....

What would the symptoms be of a bad MAF?

Car would cut out and not want to run. And will run really rich. When i was getting oil on my maf when my old turbo was leaking it caused start/idle stumble problems and at wot the car would go really rich. Start your car, let it idle and wiggle the maf plug, unplug the maf and see what happens(the car will shut off)

so the smaller the pipe the lower the hp till your maf cuts out? but if your running a larger diameter pipe you can get more out of your stock maf?
