Gloss black or even matte is not an option.
So far I'm looking at sandblasting them to bare aluminum and then clear coating that, another dark grey with metallic flake, or dark bronze. I'm leaning towards bronze ATM to change it up, but not positive.

Scott, where did you ground the battery at?

Would this be a good spot to use as a ground in the trunk?

Actually I did not ground in the trunk. I ran a 1 gauge cable from the battery box to the OEM battery ground location in the engine compartment. You can see the location in this picture. I ran a 1 gauge positive cable to a junction point in the fender and a 4 gauge cable to the alternator. I used a 150 amp fuse on the alternator and a 200 amp fuse on the main positive cable.

Last night took her dirty ass to a wedding, it felt great to drive It after being in the garage collecting dust.

So today I gave her a bath and stuck her back in the garage with a blanket .

Put her up on the ramps yesterday for an oil/filter change and to install a Whiteline transmission bushing. Wow, I wish I'd spent the $30 for the bushing sooner. Very real improvement in shift quality. No major NVH increase that I can tell. Maybe a bit more buzz in the shifter when accelerating but it's minor.

Big weekend - Hood struts, mufflers, gt500 valence

I hadn't planned on getting all this done, but the weather was too nice to not be outside having some fun with my Mustang friends. Borla S Types on there along with my GT500 valence. Also, there's a shot of my car trying to be cooler sitting next to my buddy's 2014 Super Snake.

I realize you asked a specific person, but I grounded mine in the trunk right to the rear of the battery box. I did that so I could use a common ground for the amps as well.

Amp connection isn't visible here as I hadn't installed them yet. There is a factory nut there. Sorry it's blurry.

When I was going to do the battery box, I planned on grounding it to the trunk. since the cable included only reached so far.

Thanks guys! I figured anywhere in the trunk was good as long as it had a good connection, but just wanted to see where everyone placed theirs.

For you guys that relocated the battery. Did anyone upgrade the alternator wire going to the battery?

I just had an SCT tech take over my laptop remotely to fix a driver issue with my SCT Updater software, now it's all set just waiting on that JDM e-mail ...

Cam I believe so. If everything else is upgraded it just makes sense to upgrade that wire as well. It would be like doing the big three.

I was tickled I could use a factory hole... no jokes please... never mind, several already popped into my head.
