I finally finished my project. It was a PITA overall, but mostly because I had to do R&D, but I got the new BPS lightweight brake kit installed that allows the use of virtually ANY 15" wheel, and then bolted the streelites up wrapped in M/T Street Pro 275/60/15. Took it around the block a few times before the rain came and it felt awesome having a usable 1st gear!

Ran it at Sears Point. First run was the best, even though I shifted a little too early and had a crappy 60ft time (2.1), ended up running 12.7 at 113mph. First time to the track in this car and first time I've raced in over 10 years. Then it got slower and slower as it got colder out, and I could never find traction even with an easy launch and feathering the throttle and clutch. Felt like there was ice on the track. Worst run was a 13.3 at 110mph. That was with a miss shift into 4th. Had another miss shift too into 3rd on another run. This stock shifter sucks, so I think I'm going to order a Barton short shifter pretty soon. And these Sumitomo HTR ZIII tires really don't hook at the track at all. Enough with the excuses though, I'm just happy I ran in the 12s and made it to the third elimination round for bracket racing

That's the best I was able to pull off on the stock Pirellis. 2.099 60' and 12.74 at 113mph. I hoping for 1.5s with these street pros! 3.73 is way too much gear for the MT82 and street tires.

Well I'm on the 3.31s, and these Sumis are just not cutting it. Everybody was having bad launches though. I raced another 5.0, not sure of the mods but he had Nitto NT555s, and he only ran a 12.8 at 108. Looking forward to warmer weather later

Not at all, just give each panel a light mist and use a microfiber to evenly distribute. Flip the towel and wipe it off pretty quickly, like the first 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Thats what I do too and all I get is streaking! I almost threw the bottle in the trash the last time I tried to use it. Ended up having to grab another QD I had to clean up the Sonar QD. I even tried using several microfibers to make sure that it wasn't just being spread around more.
