Whipple Gaskets Keep Blowintg Out!

I installed my Whipple on 14 months ago. Over the past 12k miles I've gone through two gaskets where the blower seals to the intake. Both times the gasket blew out on the driver side. Anyone else have these gasket problems? I just used some sealant on the gasket this around.

We've had a couple customers with similar problems, the last time they were in we used sealant, and the problem seems to have gone away.

I'm on the original gasket, but I did put a light coat of RTV on it before the install.

I use rtv with the gasket. Are you using a torqueing pattern and torque wrench?

I used the gasket cinch, proper torque and torque pattern as recommended by Whipple on the inital install and two subsequent gaskets. This time, I used RTV and locktite.

The RTV is the way to go.
