I used to live in MN. Softball sized hail does not care about the roof of your garage. After a few minutes of bombardment, something's gonna give. A softball sized hail stone will fairly effectively total a car in about 60 seconds. But don't worry, if you're out protecting your car, the one that gets you in the dome will make you forget you ever owned a S197.

We had some isolated area's in Vegas that saw golf-ball sized hail for about 5 minutes, Home Depot made a killing on rock shingles. The hail was pulverizing the hard shingles like they were candy. Great stuff for weathering wind and sand, won't put up with a good hail.

Ain't that the truth. We had one last year in my neighborhood that pretty much got everyone in a 2 mile radius a new roof. One guy had cedar shingles....I bet the insurance company shit a brick when they saw that one.

We had a rare storm a few months back where I got pea sized hail coming down on my stang. I was on the porch going "oh sh#t". Sun was not up yet, power was out so it was completly dark and all I could hear was the hail hitting my stang and man was it loud. Thankfully when the sun came up no damage. I can hardly imagine what softball sized hail sounds like!!!
