Will it fit

I ordered a nt555 tire when I meant to order the drag radial (nt555r). I am sitting on a 17 inch wheel and they recommended a 255 tire and no higher for my size rim. Well when looking for a drag radial at american muscle. I only see a 275 size. My question is can I make this fit and drive it okay. I dont want to return these tires and get the nt555r and have to ship these 60 pound tires all over again

what is the tire you received? exact size/model

The tire was a nitto nt555 255/50/17 I should of ordered the nitto nt555r 275/40/17

yes those will be ok on a 8" wheel

use them on the front and order new DRs
