This is a hobby I got into a couple years ago when I was apparently driving my wife crazy. I've turned pens, cigar punches, wine bottle stoppers and keg tap handles. My next project once I can get my lathe setup again will be a shift knob if I can find a threaded insert I think will hold up over time.

Some pics of my work.

Ive turned some bowls and a couple plates (Igeuss you could call them plates). I never thought of turning a shift knob.
