Mike Dellisanti has been setting the 1320 on fire with his 2008 Mustang CS powered by JDM Engineerings new 302E shortblock and a Saleen Shaker blower. Mike has been running the shaker blower for about 2 years now, starting out with the stock engine and some suspension/weight reduction work we were able to get his car down into the 10.0 range! We then built him a 298 stroker longblock and the car ran a new best earlier this spring with a 9.70 ET. Last week when the 302E motors debuted we decided to swap Mikes 298 out with one for testing purposes. Well this weekend he rewrote the history books running a 9.63 @ 142 MPH!!! Not only did he improve his fastest ET by nearly a tenth but he did this in the most extreme weather conditions the car has seen all year! The D/A was recorded at over 4000 ft at some points this weekend and the temperature was nearing 100 degrees outside! Not at all the prime conditions like his car saw in March at the NMRA opener in Bradenton. What this means is Mike is more than likely going to pick up a tenth or even more when the cool air hits this fall!! Look for Mike to be running sub 9.5's on boost only then!! This makes Mike the worlds fastest Saleen Supercharged car in the World PERIOD! Faster than our Sterling car and the Blue Windviel car we originally raced. Congrats Mike on your new best!! These 302E motors look like they are proving themselves already!!
