My God brother is giving me a set of 4 16x7 5 lug pony wheels, would it be possible to use these with some radials for the track?

Figured there free might as well use them for something if they would work.

They will physically bolt on, but the offset is different. Also, 16" drag radials are more scarce/expensive than the more common 15". Ask him if you can sell them and use the money to buy some 15" Racestars or something similar.

Yeh I knew the offset would be different, I guess I was asking if it would be wide enough to be beneficial. The max I could probably run on them would be like 255s, right? If I can't use them I was gonna sell them or put them on my wife's car.

I think you're better off going with something different. I mean the 275 outlaw cars are going retarded fast on a 275, so in theory a 255 should be plenty, but a 275/50-15 just looks tough on the back of a S197.

Really good deal, but I just don't have the extra funds right now. Thanks though!

I ran my old pony wheels off my v6 on my 06 GT. I ran MT 26x11.5x16 on the pony wheels. I never ran into a problem like rubbing or anything. I even had larger sway bar on the rear and LCAs and antisquats by CHE.

I had some 16" 94/95 pony wheels for the track with some 26x11.5R16 et streets also on my 07. Fit fine, didn't stick out at all.

Yep- those wheels will be fine.

Regarding tires for them, I ran 26/10.5/16 ET Streets on those wheels on my last Mustang and they worked great.
