I installed a Watson Racing O/R H-pipe that does not have the rear O2 sensor bungs. So I disconnected the O2 sensors and installed the new tune provided from Bama. I am getting the above mentioned codes (P0141 and P0161 O2 Heater Circuit) and I was told by Bama that they highly recommend...
Kenneth, did Bama ever turn off your rear 02s? I just installed an O/R H and they do not come with bungs. Bama's solution is to "just weld in new bungs and install the O2 sensors back in."
That just sounds ridiculous. It may be time to find a new tuner(?)
Thank you!!
Thanks guys!! Jim Jr., Nick and Julie were all great in getting it out to me FAST as well as great pricing and customer service. Keep up the great work!!
Just called and apparently it was indeed leaded. Looks like I will be getting the h-pipe sooner rather than later.
A few more questions:
We have 4 O2 sensors, correct? Would they all be damaged?
Will running it now with bad O2 sensors hurt the car even more?
What race gas is recommended for...
'12 GT, M6, Bama 93 tune. No other mods done to the engine.
Decided to run 110 race fuel (about 4 gallons mixed in with another 4 gallons of 93) and now throwing the codes listed above. Research I've done (including a search on this forum and others) says it's either a burnt/clogged cats or...
Are they interchangeable?
I have seen the threads of '12 owners wanting to change to '13 tail lights and there being a gap to deal with. Is that because of the tail lights themselves? Or the trunk lid?
You can add me to that list. I've had mine for a year and a half and no noise. It's a DD that sees lots of miles and I beat up on her fairly often too.
And Ghost, I also prefer the one notch below neutral prop position. But I think that has a lot to do with 1) suspension/tires/sway-bar set up...
Whiskey, any updates on this?
I was about to start a new thread before I ran across this one (thanks Search). I have been following your autox thread but don't see the mention to this upgrade.
Interested in hearing how the V710's are for autocross. I am sure they are great for the track.
I know nothing compares to the purple stuff, but I mean, do they heat up and grip rather quickly? Do they last longer (thru extended heat cycles)? Etc.
I will stay tuned. Best if luck!!
one eyed willy,
Although I didn't get to meet you in person, I did see your ride in the garage area. They had us running around back and forth from the track and classroom. I was parked way out back and never got around to meeting many people. And I felt funny asking for "one eyed willy" in...
There is only one way to find out...lol. I have seen many/some people saying our cars work very well with the same compound F/R. Others stick to the traditional more aggressive compound in the F and less in the R. As with most things, YMMV.
Where are you getting the rears from in a "special...
