2006 V6 Mustang, Pony Package. Satin Silver / Dove gray cloth seats (best for convertibles, that leather/vinyl just gets way too hot in the SoCal sun, my Miata and Lotus taught me and my backside well)

Bought the Mustang in Jan 2020, one month before the Great Pandemic.

First thing, spend a week washing waxing and industrial level cleaning the interior and seats to look new again.

Mustang was serviced at Worthington Ford in LA its whole life. Guy took it to the dealer for EVERYTHING I have 100's of receipts from bulbs, wipers, all service, the set of tires it had on in it (TigerPaws from 2014, tires date stamp matched, and receipt from Worthington Ford, still looked new, but fear and wanting BFGoodrichs, I used them till 4-22) All belts and parts battery too, -Motocraft Labeled, -of course. Obscene amounts of money spent for things that shouldn't have cost that much, but if you got it spend it I guess, LA people. This Pony will spend the rest of its life loved and cared for my your truly in San Diego, -no more rides to the dealership. Will continue to use all original parts tho.

Had to replace the convertible top (California Sun ate seal around the back window), went with the cloth / canvas upgrade and removed a few door dings and paint correct under gas fill door. Years of dripping from the dreaded tank overfill due to air issue with Series 1, S197. Refreshed the front and rear bumpers. Cleaned/cleared the headlights.

Redid the interior with LED's including adding footwell lights and rear floor courtesy lights, like the the upgraded ones have. Even found LED's for the door reflector. they light the ground when I step out. Sweet. Went to a 6 gage with "mycolor" - easy plug and play, FYI 2005-2006 have no TPMS issues, but no outside temp, because TSMS was not a req. - yet, added the rewired switch to the blank on dash to run the trip computer, love the new MPG info, mileage was spot on(ish) ;-).

Bought a OEM Nav unit off ebay and plugged it into the harness and had to do nothing else but add the Bluetooth interface adapter with mic from amazon that converts the Sat Radio input into Bluetooth, even shows song names and artist on nav. screen. -Sweet. (backup camera in the works, anyone have a lockpick they don't need anymore?)

Bought the upgraded aluminum dash off ebay, refreshed it to look new again. (Rustolium Metalic Aluminum spray paint is the perfect vent color match)

Next project; adding soundproofing.
