I generally just push straight up for third. don't push right at all or you'll end up in fifth. Same goes for downshifting from 5th to 4th, dont push left or you'll end up in 2nd...

    I bought a 2014 GT a few weeks ago, and since the day I drove it off the lot, the transmission has been making an appalling noise at low RPM. Apparently it's quite common, and ford insists that its "normal", although it clearly isn't. you can hear the noise quite clearly in this video...
