i pulled the fuse, tested it. I unplugged the seat harnesses, the seat belt too. visually they looked clean and were snuggly plugged in. None of this changed anything.
I am reasonably convinced it is the RCM gone bad. I just don't know how to test it to be 100% sure. They are expensive...
I'll give that a try but FORscan does see the OCS (occupant sensor) or at least is can tell it has lost communication with the RCM. But it's worth a try!
One would think so but not really, the entire 2012 "stuff" is in the 07 body just like it was in the 2012 body. It's been working fine for a year. The systems don't know what year the body is.
I did a swap to a 2012 on my 07. The wiring harnesses are different, not just the wiring itself but how they connect. The dash will physically bolt in. The HVAC is a little different. I modified my firewall to make the 2012 HVAC fit. The body harness is hard wired into the battery junction box...

the other day my airbag light and wrench light came on while I was driving. When I got home I hooked my laptop and checked with FORscan. The RCM can't read the DTC, the OCS has lost communication as well as ABS and instrument cluster have U0151 codes. I pulled console and the RCM is plugged in...
now that the leaks are all fixed (car sat for a couple weeks with no carpet) and it's staying dry, I bought new carpet. The old carpet smelled musty and was worn/faded. I used the 2012 carpet I had for a template because I prematurely threw out the 07 carpet before getting the new one. I don't...
