    Installed the DSS d/s yesterday

I think they adjusted the pinion angle -2 degrees on my 2011 and its very smooth. About 140 I noticed it but its gone. Sifting improved too...very light.

Stock Thermostat Tempature on the 5.0?

Bigger radiator, electric water pump (if available) Ceramic coated long tubes, catless x pipe, Cowl or heat extractor hood, remove hood insulation lining, water methanol, higher octane fuel....some Old school hot rod tactics. Directing air flow would really help - look at those huge openings...

    Ceramic coating the factory headers

I have used Jet Hoy in past and it does help but the finish needs maintained or it looks bad quick on a daily driver (same for ceramic). See website for the details. Wrap is okay for a while but it won't look good long in an all weather daily driver.

    Critical Update

I just noticed an email from Steeda about this. Firmware updates are important. Here is the generic email but links may not work - used my phone to copy and paste. SCT has released a new version of the X3 (PN: 3000) / SF3 (PN: 3015) device firmware - Version 1.2.142. This is a critical...

Building your motor? Turn it over..

Deburring is standard build procedure, in particular anything aluminum, and let's hope Ford is doing this from the plant.

    Starter

Didn't you go with a 9.5:1 Aluminator? If there's any difference in starters it may be torque for higher compression 11:1 motors but for you it may not matter if you went with lower compression. Maybe someone can chime in but I bet you get full life out of the starter.

    Coyote Catastrophic Failure

Indy...nationals right around corner so Force racing will give me a years worth of kicks in late August. I have headers and just removed the mufflers and resonators but that won't match the sound of just headers...that's pure race!!! Love it. Going to do an Aluminator swap myself over the...

    Coyote Catastrophic Failure

I would like to hear the open headers in person. I love that sound at the track.

    Coyote Catastrophic Failure

Funny stuff. Maybe some advice for a Ferrari F1 team but Ford isn't doing that. LOL I would be interested in seeing if the heads were checked for cracks. I am building up a collection parts to do a build myself and this had been a good thread. OP are you replacing the harmonic balancer...

    5.0 Diff?

The factory 8.8 is very strong but If your worried about strength This is for extreme duty, serious drag racing/competition level: Currie has an S197 direct fit 9" and uses factory brakes, requires center section, gears and assembly...
