Replacing radio. Do i need the Audio CAN plug?

Well that is great. You are the first one that agrees with me about using the MSCAN bus. Makes the install much easier. Took me a while to figure it out, especially after Crutchfield said it cannot be done. Yet they even sell the PAC unit. What radio did you use? KenK

Replacing radio. Do i need the Audio CAN plug?

Hi I did not realise I was commenting on an 09 when I responded. Our 2005-2006 are left hanging in a lot of respect. 2007 & up stuff seems to be covered. You might check with Maestro web site for your model year KenK

Replacing radio. Do i need the Audio CAN plug?

Hi, Be very careful with the PAC park brake wires & reverse wires. The PAC colors do not match up to Mustang colours, I just did another one tonight. Even if you do not do a backup camera, hook them up . Ken K

Replacing radio. Do i need the Audio CAN plug?

Hi, The PAC has nothing to do with the SXM tuner. You should check with your new radio instructions. What radio are you planning on using? I can research it. I did not realise sxm was an option in 2005. Ken K

Replacing radio. Do i need the Audio CAN plug?

Great, with the PAC unit you will not need a converter, as the PAC provides the correct voltage. No need for em brake or backup to car. Those wires from the PAC go to the radio instead. Any questions , just ask. KenK

Replacing radio. Do i need the Audio CAN plug?

Hi, I have been dealing with this since February myself. I have a Kenwood DNR476s nav unit. I tried a Maestro interface, however it does not support 2005-2006 Mustangs. Wasted $180. Then I talked to Kenwood and Maestro. Kenwood only supports Maestro for idatalink connections. Even Crutchfield...

strategy code for 2006 V6 manual 5 speed

###########$ Ok, now I get it. Yes the Ford Performance CAI did/does require a tune. They actually offered a CAI & SCT X3 with 3 tunes as a package . I am just a bit cautious messing with the computer. But I worked on $2 million extruders and had to program the Programable Logic Computers in...

strategy code for 2006 V6 manual 5 speed

    ###### Hi, So do you think I already have a tune because of how it is running, or should I go ahead and use the SCT X4 preloaded tune and adjust it for my CAI & tires? I could always go back it I do not like it. And of course my existing tune will be saved on SCT . ** I am thinking I should do...

strategy code for 2006 V6 manual 5 speed

    ### Oh right, I forgot about that. You cannot use preloads after a custom tune. Maybe I will just try to load a tune Monday. I need my Pony tomorrow, but Tomorrow I will do the Data Logging and see what it does. Then Monday try a tune. If it works I will have a tune that I know what is in it...

Hi; My CAI is a Ford Performance CAI it needs a tune, but not sure it is listed in SCT's setup. Or at least that is what I was told. And mine has the 91 sticker on gas cap door and by CAI area shock mount KenK

strategy code for 2006 V6 manual 5 speed

Hi; SCT was not much help. They said I may not be able to install a tune, but I had to start a new tune to find out. Not sure you can cancel a new tune after you start through the steps. I do not want to find out by locking up my PCM KenK

Is there a list someplace for the 2006 V6 strategy codes & PCM id code? I have a 2006 V6 with Ford Performance CAI & Cat back duals. It came without the tuner, as most keep them and screw the next owner. I cannot afford to mess up my PONY so any help will be appreciated. I have been searching...
