    First suspension mod? 06 GT

Have a look at your front control arms. They are probably the originals. Ford Racing has the newer, heavier replacement with better bushings. Unlikely you will notice a difference, but the bushings are smoother and the balljoint area of the arm won't tear off due to corrosion or age/abuse. The...

And the Readiness Monitors. If they aren't all 'ready', then codes were cleared for some reason and and the monitors haven't all reset. Some specific monitors are not required for emissions inspection , but most are.

What to watch out for when buying?

If any work has been done, ask to see receipts. If only to see what brands of parts were used. On a 3v, obviously not what you are looking at, if someone said it had the timing components replaced, id certainly want to know if they used Ford parts or non-Ford. Makes a huge difference if they...

Cam phaser reluctor tone ring popped off the phaser

Remove the valve cover bolts gaskets by pushing the bolt and gasket out with a screwdriver. They should be stretchy enough to pry off the bolts or just cut them.

Ford Racing strut set up for 2008 Bullitt

I'll have to find that spring rate chart when I get home. I have it saved on my pc, but don't recall where I found it on thr forum I've got P springs. About .75"-1" drop. But on Koni Orange. If the OP does not take you up on your offer, keep me in mind.

Ford Racing strut set up for 2008 Bullitt

I did before asking and again after your reply....just to be sure. The number keeps coming up as shocks and struts only that can be used with P, K, or L springs. I think L might be the GT500 springs.

06 Mustang GT [Noise under valve cover]

They are yours if you want them. Question is, getting them to you....when and where? I can be available Saturday or Sunday. I will be honest, I have doubts it's a rocker. If the motor is not turning, none of that stuff will make a noise. Maybe, just maybe a collapsed adjuster popping back up...

06 Mustang GT [Noise under valve cover]

Yep. If you were trying to save money and fix this tick, I'd give you my old ones. High mileage, but all smooth bearings, no marring or scoring at all. Still have my old vct solenoids adjusters. I didn't find any wear or defects on the parts I replaced except for the loose oil pump, a single...

06 Mustang GT [Noise under valve cover]

I've only seen the rockers sold either individually $15-20 each times 24. Or as a set with the lash adjusters. The lowest price I've found for the set is LMR at $449. The set is a better deal as you'll have the adjusters on hand for future installation. Ford Performance Rocker Arm & Lash...

06 Mustang GT [Noise under valve cover]

Some answers may be found in the Cams and Timing thread. I kind of took it over with details on doing my timing components and valvetrain. Cams and timing | S197 Mustang Forum - S197Forum.com https://share.google/OwwNxHrDnqnxp1TaU Although I talk about the tool for rocker changes without...

That's worth investigating. It's kind of a pain, but for $450 you'll not have to worry about adjusters and rockers, probably ever.

What do you mean?....my $500 74 Opel Manta was one of the most reliable (75k miles on top of the 154k it had when I bought it), most fun cars I've ever had! I couldnt beat that with a 97 Mazda Protege (I know...Japanese, not German, but they did have an alliance at one point....). Free with 155k...

    A/C refill DIY - questions

That's not unheard of.... But....two thoughts come to mind, one is the misting systems used on a/c units in places like Florida that use evaporative cooling on the fins of the condensor to carry heat away. Similar to rain going thru the grille and radiator. The other is the heat/energy capacity...

    A/C refill DIY - questions

I am assuming you are talking about what is going on inside the car. At the other end of it....out in front of the radiator....how does the ambient hot, humid air flowing thru affect the shedding of the heat there?
  23. Samos3

    A/C refill DIY - questions

Out of my depth here. I understand on the evaporator side (inside the car/house) that more humidity complicates cooling. On the condensor side, does the denser humid air absorb more heat from the condensor than dry air? Rainy days seem to increase the heat transfer as well.

    A/C refill DIY - questions

96*F right now and heat index is 105. The more humid it is the better the a/c works as the extra moisture pulls more heat out of the condensor. And rpm helps....

    A/C refill DIY - questions

Not unusual after 18 years. Some would be surprised it took that long. I started having to do the small can refills a couple years ago. A/C systems like to be used once in a while to keep everything oiled so seals don't dry out.
