I just have over 1200 miles on mine and used the DNJ kit. I had a rod break and the block was salvageable so instead of spending $2k on a motor that I have no idea about (The motor market is pretty sketch) I rebuilt it. Engine Rebuild Questions
Just got my 07 done and 100 miles on it. msvela448 is 100% correct. I used DNJ rebuild kit with coyote rods. The problem is a phaser is bent. It buried itself into the camshaft and now I am getting Genuine Ford parts to fix it. So Ford shit is the way to go, unless you like doing things a...- kdog

took cams off,, not sure what to think
I just finished a complete rebuild on my 07. The rule I went by is if you can run your thumb nail across without it catching you will be fine. I was going to change cams, but there didn't seem to be a real advantage other than sound. LITO got a pretty good lope on the tune. So I'm glad I...- kdog
