Well, it's not the throttle body electronics. I put a new one on it and it still has all the same symptoms.

I had a jlt catch can on it. I have taken that off. No change. At first Ken was tuning the car but, Jon has for most of it. Last revision I got was number 26.

We pulled the passenger side head and found this at the front cylinder. The rod was found inside the bottom end and pulled out with a magnet.

I'll get some pictures up after we get the engine out and pull the pan off. FYI, The last datalog (not taken when engine let go) was spot on per the tuner. No further tuning need. I think the motor was just at its limit or just above its limit apparently.

Just got the drivers side off. The other 3 cylinders looked good. No marks of any kind. Will be waiting a few days to pull the other side.

Found a picture of the head.

It has an aeroforce. I didnt notice what the a/r was. The owner did say that it was slightly rich previously. Low to mid 10's as I recall.

So here is what we found when pulling the front cover and the drivers side head this evening. Looks like the piston found its way to the oil pan. No piston Whats left of the connecting rod. The drivers side head has minor valve damage. Forgot to snap a picture.

We are definitely going to check all possibilities. We will have the heads off later tonight.

Not really. We all know its bound to happen. He planned on a forged rebuild this coming winter.

I should clarify that this is on a 93 octane tune. the car was in the process of a retune for 93 octane and then it would have been on to race gas.

I am not going to name the tuner. I would not want someone to assume the motor went due to a bad tune. This is not the tuners fault. We all know that high horsepower levels make these engines a time bomb.
