Hey Steve,

I'm on the hunt for an exhaust part that allows 05-10 mustangs to add the boss side pipes. It was discontinued by Ford a while back so I am not having much luck finding one.

Part number is: M-5220-3VMB

Do you have any by chance?

Thanks!

Sorry for the delay responding, I checked the National parts locator and found one at a dealer in Minnesota.

If you'd like to call them it's Apple Valley Ford and the phone is 800-848-7144.

Good luck :)

Thanks for your help Steve, I've been hunting for this for a few days and I'm hoping it will fit my car. I have a 2010 GT500 and can't find any info googling what the differences are between the GT and GT500 exhaust are besides the axle backs.

I don't think that'll fit a GT500, let me do some digging.

Well so far I know the piece that bolts to the H or X pipe is the same for the gt500's and gt (2010)

What I cant figure out is if the pipes from the manifolds back are the same or similar enough to make this work.

My thinking is that the cats back to the X are slightly wider and different angles for the GT500 but I cant find anybody who knows for sure or has put them side by side

Yea, he has an 09. The one he built was for an 11 and up, he may or may not have made one for his car ( I cant remember either)

Building it on my own would be my final course of action. I figured since Ford made one that may bolt right up that I would try that avenue first.

Or just scrap the idea all together and get some corsas!

Well, might help, might not. Here's the catalog diagrams for the stock 2010 and 2011 GT500 systems.

2010,

2011,

There is still a kit from FRPP for the 2011 GT500, I wonder if it could be altered a little to work on the 2010?

Thanks for the Diagrams. The OTA pipes are the same as I suspected. so it would at least meet correctly at the back side.

The problem with the 2011 and up kit is Ford changed the Pipe diameter on the Gt500's in 2011 from 2.5 id to 2.75 id.

Ah, there we go. The catalog doesn't give sizes. Any decent muffler shop should be able to hook you up with adapters if the diameter is the only concern.

Very true. If I go that route I may just make an adapter myself like Tob did. I have a friend who removed his boss sidepipes so I can build my own set up if I need to. It would be a lot cheaper than the 11 and up kit.

The one 3V kit I found is selling for $499.
