Alright guys, I am selling my Escort Passport 8500 X50 Radar Detector. It is in excellent shape, almost new condition. It is an AMAZING detector, it detects radar signals from long distances, and is extremely accurate. I am selling it because I don't take trips much anymore, and don't need it. It comes with the unit, SMARTcord, windshield mount, case, instructions, and velcro on the bottom, if you'd like to mount it that way. I am asking 250$ shipped OBO.

Here is a website with more info on it and its features:

Thanks!

I didn't even see the replies to my thread for some reason, sorry guys! I am located in CO but I can ship anywhere.

And sorry, Im not looking for headers right now. Although if someone has some cool 11-12 stuff, I might be willing to trade.

I'll ask my friend in a little while if he wants this. I know he's looking for one. Are the lights red or blue in it?

This is the red one, I liked it better than the blue.

Free bump. This is a great RD and a freakin' killer price. I hardwired mine and it was a breeze. Only needed an add-a-fuse, a telephone cord, and a connector for the ground.

Could be interested. I saw somewhere saying there were no voice alerts and another review said there were. I want to make sure i can understand what kind of radar has been detected without having to actually read the screen of the device.

As far as I know, it does not have voice alerts. However, each band has a different tone, I can easily recognize the difference between them without looking. Takes very little time to recognize them.

I can second this. I have a Cobra that has it and I actually prefer the different noises than having to hear "K band alert (said as slowly as humanly possible)" followed by the noise. Then again, I'm one of those "cut the shit and get to the chase," guys.

Agreed! The voice alerts just piss me off. Having the different tones was easier, and I still knew exactly what it was detecting without having to look. You'll know the difference between Xband and K or Ka (and especially laser. That sound will make you shit your pants) after the first day of using it.
