I dont have the 275/40/20 but I have the 275/35/20 up front with the 305/35 in the rear. Got them from summit racing. Not sure if they have 275/40 in stock.

I was planning a 275/35/20 but my car is a roush and the bumpers sit so low, i has hoping a little more tire height may help me.

It probably will help, but keep in mind that your front tire overall diameter will be a little larger than the rears, which I wouldn't want personally for my car.

Just a heads-up on the M/T tires.

You really Do-Not want to go with those 275/40-20's on the front.
I was also thinking of running those with the 305/35-20 rears.
I then found out that was not even going to work right with the fronts being taller than the rears.
I called and talked with M/T rep and he verified that was not the way to go.

You want the 305/35-20's on the rear.
Then the 275/35-20's on the front to match.

There are several of us on here running that combination.

Also you might want to check out the thread on the M/T Street Comp tires.

http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=97826

Below is a picture of mine with the M/T tires installed.
It sits pretty low and when they test drove it there was no-worries on the front touching anything.

Very good I did see where 2 were purchased off one of the post on eBay.

I think you are making the right decision on running those with the 305/35-20" in the rear.

Post up a few pics when you get all them mounted.

And if you get to put some miles on with them let us guys know what you think.
I can tell you I'll be very interested in reading what you have to say.
I have them now but have not seen mine so I have no opinion on how they drive or perform.

I see you are located in South Bend, IN.
I think that is pretty close to BRENSPEED in Pierceton, IN.
You might want to drive over and check those guys out.
Be a nice drive with those new M/T Street Comp tires buddy.
If you drive over you can take a look in person at mine and it has the M/T SC-5 wheels & M/T Street Comp tires under it.
Might give you some more ideas !!!

I am pretty close to brenspeed! I'm hoping to have them tune my car once I get it put together. I had a wrist pin go to hell and I'm awaiting the return of my block from the machine shop. Not gonna be a crazy build, but doing a forged rotating assembly, high volume oil pump, shorty headers, and if I find a good deal hot rod/ Detroit rocker cams. Probably be another month before it's all together :/

I think you would like the guys at Brenspeed.
In the summer they stay booked pretty darn heavy so keep that in mind.
Just get hold of them before you want to have those Brenspeed "Detroit Rocker" cams installed and a tune.
(Make your appointment ahead of time)

I ran the Blower edition of those cams for awhile.
A lot of the guys I know still are running those cams.
They perform well and sound great.
And the nice thing about them you get to retain all the Ford valve train components.
No valve springs needed or anything else, just the cams.

Keep us in mind here when you make the additional changes.
Like to read about what you do.
