Installing new pads opened the box and what do ya know there’s this little defect.
Not sure if the clamping force would straighten it out, should I try tapping it flush with a hammer. Any other thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Ps. I’m trying to get this job done tonight lol. If I should return them I will but if it’s not gonna be an issue I’d like to use them, I just have no idea if it is okay to use. I have a cars and coffee in the morning, of course something like this happens.

If the parts house was just a few minutes away, I would exchange them. If online, I would use them. I don't see any issue really. If your were tracking the car and just dropped some coin on good pads, then yeah, get them exchanged.
