Oh hell, okay I'm going to try to go. Seeing if I can get the wifey and I a room at the casino and make a weekend of it.

3:00 to what?? When does it close?

What are the breakdowns for high roller and low roller? Obviously the dollar difference, but are they broken up by times as well?

They'll probably run until 10 or 11pm. Depends on when they finish the Gambler brackets (which probably won't start until after 6pm), and how many cars are still there for T&T. They generally don't start the HRG until after a couple rounds of the LRG are done.

The HRG and LRG are open to all vehicles (including bikes), regardless of ET. In the LRG, no electronics (i.e., delay boxes) are allowed. I think they might allow boxes in the HRG though. You can run in both of them if you want... a lot of guys do.

Let me know if you plan on going. We'll get there about 1:00pm, and we can save some pit space near us.

Cinca De' Mayo weekend damnit. Sold out on Saturday - not even a suite available!:bs:

I want to go, but the wifey is going to be with me so I need to do something nice for her too on Saturday while I'm at the track. I'm thinking a spa treatment. Are there any other NICE hotels in the area? I need somthing with full spa services.

Nothing close to the track really, but there are some nice places in the Rancho Bernardo area near where I live. Maybe try searching the internet for places in the 92127 or 92128 zip codes.

You could always drop her off at the casino while you're at the track. cha'ching...

I don't mind driving a little bit. If I get something close to you, we can all go out to dinner on Friday night and then I can follow you on saturday while she does her thing. Any 5 star hotels in your area?

Yea, that'll work. Dinner on Fri sounds good!

I don't know all the hotels in the area, but you can try this one, it's probably the best, and only a few minutes away from my house: http://www.ranchobernardoinn.com/

Damn $40 to race? Is that because of the purse or is that the normal rate?

From what it sounds like, they are able to get in a lot more runs than we are up at Irwindale. I'd be willing to pay $40 at Irwindale if we were able to get in more than 10 runs a night. Five runs kinda sux.

That's the normal rate. I also pay an extra $30 for my wife to drive too. So it costs me $70 each time (plus extra $$$ if I decide to run in a bracket race, too). And since we like the track so much, it's worth every penny.

Good point. Last weekend, we got 17 runs on Saturday, and 21 on Sunday. And we quit before we had to both days. Could have had a few more. Over the past 8 months, we have averaged ~15 runs each time there.

Oh yea, one other thing. Rarely do any imports show up. At most, it's 2 or 3 ricers out there. It is normally about 90% trailered-in race cars, and 10% street cars.

Hey Don,

I actually had a reservation at Rancho Bernardo and had to cancel it today...:boohoo:

KB was 3 staff short this week so the custom kit I was supposed to have on monday, just came today. During the final inspection of the heads, it was discovered that there were some minor issues with clearance for my set-up so some things needed to be redone. It was very minor changes and I had the opportunity to run with them as is and it 'probably' would have been fine but after all the issues I have, I don't want to leave anything to chance and want everything on the car 110%.

So, the heads will now be back on Friday Scott will finally be able to finish the longblock.

Long story short, I'll be picking up my car tuesday and will be at irwindale next week for sure. Sorry man, I was REALLY looking forward to making a weekend of it. I'm sure they're will be other times...

I will be at Irwindale next week for sure with a bunch of guys and it should be fun. Oh well, we'll meet up on Dyno Day and shoot the shit!
