Possible shortcut to installing caster/camber plate

Can you just unbolt the top of the strut and swing it down and out to change over to an adjustable C/C plate? I really don't feel like pulling the whole strut assy out of the car to change it over.

I was thinking of not having to blow the whole thing apart to do a 5 minute job.

It's only 3 more bolts per side. Oops 4 counting the brake line hardware.

Getting the strut through the mount with the spring there would suck

I was thinking it may have enough travel to be outside of the fender.

No...not enough droop travel to get the strut down out of the strut tower anyway.
