Had my shakedown run for the season out at Elsinore.. Spending the weekend on Nacimiento this weekend coming up, looking forward to it..

Got some cleaning done yesterday (essentially a full detail except the underside of the hulls..)

Wednesday I'm installing the new RAVE valves in the 97 to prevent the prolonged 5k RPM hesitation (gaskets are supposed to be in Wednesday) and new plugs, should be good to go

Buick and Seadoo had the right Idea.. GSX is a good name

The one apart in the background is a 64 MPH seadoo when it runs (GPS verified) the red and white one has seen 60, and the blue one is factory stock.. usually hole shots the red/white one but gets passed around 30, never checked the top speed but guessing around 56-58

Angry, light, little 2 strokes are so much more fun than the newer, heavier 4 strokes... The top speed may not be there over a $15k supercharged newer jet ski but you can have a heck of a lot more fun getting there..

What are your plans for summer?

I have a Kawasaki JS550. it's pretty fun. Not real fast, but when your standing on something that narrow its plenty fast.

Pic is from before we pulled it out and cleaned it up.

Very nice! Stand ups are a blast, at 6'3/220 it's a bit of work on my part though... I tend to stick with 2 seaters..

yeah, they can be a workout, and they take a bit of practice to get the hang of steering and leaning the correct amount. I spend a considerable amount of time just swimming after the thing lol.

Haha imagine me on a yamaha superjet, I couldn't even stand up all the way I had to squat and hunch forward.. I smacked into the handles more than once lol

Those look like late 90's Sea Doos. I've been racing skis since 2002. You can spend a fortune on them, just like your car. I've always raced 2-strokes because they have superior low and mid range hp, but I'm about to make the switch to a 4 stroke engine.

I have had my share of toys over the years, but I have never owned a PWC. But I really enjoy riding my friends Sea Doos, Waverunners, etc.

Several years back, I had a buddy's Sea Doo XP up to 60 MPH (according to the speedo) one time and it was scarier than doing 160 in a car!

They are a 96, 97 and 98

Just put the 98 limited on the trailer for its first run this season, having issues with the water regulator on the 97..

I used to have a Kawasaki Ultra 250. It was a rush, 250hp in a 1000lb vehicle is feroscious, but man was it expensive to run. Blowing 20 gallons of premium every hr to hr and a half got old quickly.

I'll see your wave jump and raise you - 14 foot waves in the 2003 hurricane. No photoshop, no bullshit. We used to do this all the time until I hurt my neck.

Oh god do I ever miss those days. Its been 7 years since I was on one. Used to go out every weekend for 10 years!.

Here is what I used to have. First was my 1997 SPX. 800 cc. but I added everything to it. Pipe, flame arrestors, plates, heads, carbs, prop. This thing would take off and leave you in the water if you weren't holding on to it for life. Even the RXP's wondered how I took so fast. But they quickly caught me as I topped out at 57 MPH.

The 2000 polaris was the biggest mistake. I got it to go 72 MPH, GPS'd. But the damn thing only liked glass for water. The U shaped haul was terrible for choppy water.

Sick pic, love the GPR!!!!

I see your 14ft pic and raise you my arrival to the Bahamas with yellow flag in hand!

You definitely win! I've only ridden in dirty rivers and Galveston Bay. I would love to ride clear water one day...

I still have my GPR. It's getting a 4 cylinder/4 stroke/supercharged SHO engine installed as we speak.
