I relocated my battery to the trunk.

I am looking at intercooler (degas) tanks to go where the battery was.

Considering the Moroso #63494 to fill the battery void...

Here is the Canton 80-235 which is the other option:

Does one fit better than the other on the S197 considering where the fittings are?

Here is my engine bay, ready for this mod:

Any and all pics of one you guys have installed are appreciated.

Moroso makes one for the fan shroud. You can see it in my sig pic. Oveall I was very happy with Moroso's customer service. I will be using them again. I know this doesn't answer your question about fittment but I just wanted to share my experience with them.

The Moroso tanks are nice except for the engraved name. I hate underhoods that look like billboards (the hideous e-Force supercharger comes to mind).

Either one you will enjoy. Only thing I recommend is use Vaseline on the inner part of the cap. Keeps its from rusting

Yes, great tip. I have the Canton version which works fine. I would now go with the Moroso simply because the drain is in a better location.

this is not tech

I respectfully disagree.

Which model to choose, drain locations, hose locations, ease of mounting, leak concerns, Vaseline to prevent rust...all are pertinent to my intercooler system upgrade...it most certainly belongs in tech.

IF this is not tech, please tell me what your definition of "tech" is. I would argue that "Mustang Chit Chat Want to talk Mustang but it isn't tech?" is not a proper description of my thread.

Description of tech from admins:

This section is for the discussion of technical related topics, i.e. installing parts, upgrading parts, diagnosing trouble, etc. actual physical wrenching or trouble shooting by you.

It is not for discussion of which part to buy or what exhaust sounds best.

I've had to move a lot of threads of late that should not have been posted in this section.

Please consider the section before you post a new thread.

Thank you for attention to this issue.

I would argue that my thread, asking about fitment, hose, and drain locations is germane to: installing parts, upgrading parts in the above description. Of course you could argue that I violated the not for discussion of which part to buy statement.

It seems to me that your policies have created a grey area...I need to know which part to buy due to the technical aspects of the design differences - which side the hump is on, outlet location, drain location, leaking cap issues, etc.

Lastly, when I do select one of the two tanks (leaning toward the custom Canton on TMCOLEGR's recommendation) I will be adding pics of the tank, the installation, tools used, final fitment, and results, which is about as tech as you can get.

- Just my two cents. I'm on most all the Mustang forums...and this one I particularly like due to the high level of technical knowledge many of the members possess...it seems the hard-core modders who have been there and done that are on this forum.

TMCOLEGR,

Is yours a custom Canton, or is there a model number for what you have?

What is the bung for that has the conduit covered connection - temp sensor?
