Got a buddy adding a Shaker 1000 amp/sub to his Shaker 500 system, what's the best way to do it?

I'm an audio noob...

You've got to run your own power/grounds to the amps. Otherwise it's easy.

So you can't just swap like a harness in the back of the unit for the 1000 amp/sub? I dunno if he wants to keep his 500 subs hooked up or not...

Sorry if I sound stupid, I just got no idea on stereo shit!

No, the harness that powers the factory shaker 1000 is integrated into the body harness. There's no way to separate it or add just the shaker 1000 portion. The easiest/best way is to simply run your own wires to the rear subs. You don't have to change anything with the shaker 500 speakers/amps.
