28 years young.
Glen died today doing what he loved. Unfortunately this one time he did not follow safety precautions and broke some rules and paid for it with his life. He was 28 and a good guy. RIP Glen Gross. Good lessons come too hard. (copy and pic lifted from Ben L's Facebook post thanks Ben.)

Details are foggy at the moment..
Some say it was a $5k race, someone else says.. "Just testing"
WTF.. Really?? Look at that car.. Testing??? sheesh....

And ya, it was a serious car, had no business on the street, to be honest...
was a high 7 second car.

Damn that sucks, I know that stretch of road too, I'll always remember those pics now when I drive there. Sorry for your loss, even with a full cage like that. Street racing is definitely not worth it IMO. I gave it up many years ago.

very sorry Mitch. looking at the pics again, looks like there was no driver airbag deployment.

That's so sad. Did he get ejected from the car as the windshield doesn't look to be damaged. It roll several times? Sorry for your loss of your friend mitch. =(

From what I read on YB, he was testing, lost control at 140, rolled, not wearing belts or possibly helmet.

I'm very sorry for your loss...

Street racing is definitely a bad idea. I know that now, but as a teen I also street raced... didn't take many chances though as it was always on clear and straight 4 lane roads. But the mother of 6 boys that lived next door to me was hit head on and killed as she topped a hill on a narrow two lane road... the cars that hit her were street racing... they lived... and then they had to live with what they had done and I'm sure that was tough for them... because on that day those two street racers caused 6 children to lose their mom and a husband to lose his wife.

Dont know how to do multiple quotes so...
Ya, seems to be he was doing some roll/testing for an up coming race.

I'm pretty confident that if he had at least the harnesses on, he would be alive..

Hammeron... no air bags.. Car weighed about 2800 lbs. Full race car,

Shaggy... Here's another shot... look again...
If thats not enough to shake ya up a bit...

Just to bad. Yea, if he was wearing the harness and a helmet, it looks like he would have just got some road burns on his arm. Even if he was wearing the harness and not a helmet, I can see him hitting his head on the ground on a few of those rolls.

Is his name Greg or Glen? I see it 2 ways.

Did he have a family?
