Here at BamaChips we get bored in the evenings, boredom is how i broke my arm so we can only guess how this is going to turn out.

The project car is a 2001 70k mile cobra, completely stock, one day changing out brakes on the car we were jokeing around (or so i thought) about putting a three valve in it. Little did i know he was serious, so next thing I know were pulling the 4V out.

The final specs:
2008 ford 3v out of a GT
BBR Stage II Cams
Phaser lockouts
Spec Stage II clutch
C&L Intake MANIFOLD (shhh)
JLT II CAI
Assload of nitrous

The engine should be sat in this week once we change cams and other little things, i will keep this post updated.

Dont worry Chris your throttle body adapter will make it home :)

One question: motor mounts? I've seen the mount kits for the earlier blocks into S197 chassis.....how about the late blocks into the earlier chassis? Can't tell much from the pic.

The motor mounts bolt right up on the 07-08 blocks, 05-06 has the boss's but need to be tapped for the earlier model motor mounts.

why go to a stock 3V from a Cobra 4V??

I wouldn't advertise that shirt if I were him .... unless he wants to be tied in with that fuckin ballsack of a tuner cody . For yall sake I hope yall run a better business than he does .

ok rant over , anyway looks pretty spiffy I always wandered about the 3v in a older style ( fox mainly )

Hey, where are you located exactly in Alabama? I'm gonna be there for vacation in two weeks....Orange Beach for a week then a few days in the Birmingham/Shelby county area (skiing on the lake). Maybe I could srop by and meet y'all and see this bad-boy...

please explain how a 300hp rated motor will out power a 320hp rated motor?
320? Ever see one of those turds actually put down 320? Plus the torque of the 3V will move that car much quicker than the 4V.

320? Ever see one of those turds actually put down 320? Plus the torque of the 3V will move that car much quicker than the 4V.

never seen on put down a number... just going by the rated spec from Ford

Remember all the whoopla over the '01 cars being turds and nobody being able to dyno better than 280-290 hp......they were just dogs. That's why Colletti told his guys to come up with a solution. The solution was a blower.

The cams are worth 35-40 when done right, plus this will be dyno tuned so i will push it beyond safe limits with the tune since its my car.
