I went to the track today with my 2011 5.0 6-speed manual. My car is a Premium 400a. Wanted to get some more 11 sec. timeslips, I got 4 off them. Car was hooking pretty good on the stock 19in Pirellis.

Mods:
*Lethal Performance O/R X-pipe
*Flowmaster Axle-Back
*JLT cai
*Revolution Automotive tune
*UPR upper and lower control arms and Panhard Bar
*BMR lowering springs

1st pass: [email protected] 1.85 60ft.
2nd pass: [email protected] 1.79 60ft.
3rd pass: [email protected] 1.81 60ft.
4th pass: [email protected] 1.82 60ft.
5th pass: [email protected] 1.83 60ft.
6th pass: [email protected] 2.22 60ft.

The last run I tried to get to aggressive with the launch and it spun real bad. Was launching at 2500rpm and seemed to hook real good. I cant believe it pulled 119mph and I was excited about the 1.79 60ft. on stock Pirelli tires.

I did make 2 runs with a set of Nitto 555r 18in drag radials that a friend of mine brought to the track with him. I didnt have good success on them, they spun bad, so I switched back to the Pirellies, go figure.

1st pass: [email protected] 1.98 60ft.
2nd pass: [email protected] 2.02 60ft

I'm begining to wonder why I would go away from the Pirelli's. It seems they're doing pretty well at the track and they do pretty good on the street too. The wear on them sucks, but they seem to be a pretty decent all around tire.

I must absolutely suck at launching. I can't come anywhere near a 2.0 flat 60'. My best is 2.25 so far. Congrats on the times!

It just takes practice. Launch easy and then each pass step it up a little till you find the sweet spot. Then repete..if you try too hard the fist time you wont know how much you have to back off.
The brembo tires are a softer compound than the regular ones.
I find that rolling through the burnout box, then doing a 1st gear rolling burnout to the line works best for me. If I heat them too much they get greasey.

What I do is set the tire pressure to 17-18 psi. I go around the water box, do a nice burnout to get them sticky. I launch at 2500 and it hooks pretty good, thats the sweet spot for me. If I launch lower its real sluggish off the line and if I launch higher it spins. Just work at it and see what works best for u.

Very nice.

Looks like your basic suspension mods are doing well for you!

Did you happen to get any good shots of launching?
