Well i just got back from the track, i made several passes and giving it was my first time out with all the mods and more than a year in general i was very pleased with the results.
MODS
o/r x
stock 373's
magnaflow mufflers
boss manifold
Jlt/tune
17in greg weld wheels
15x10 racestars in the back with MT 28/10.5/15
LCA and relocation brackets
Stock M6, Stock Clutch, stock shifter

Only other weight i removed was the spare tire and jack thats it.
First two passes were just getting a feel for it, and both times it was 11.90 @ 116.82, and 116.70 on run managed a 1.69 60' the other 1.68
I was running about 13 psi on the tires launching from 4500 to 5500 on all runs. So after a couple of warm up runs. After getting the feel for it i wanted to get a feel for it on the bottle.
I turned on my nitrous, im only running a 50 shot so i would of been happy with a 11.5 at around 120
1st run i missed 3rd gear and ran 11.8 at 115
2nd run i let off at the top of third because the car was going sideways. ran 12.2 @ 91.91 still a 1.69 60'
After this run i raised the air pressure on the tires to 16 psi
3rd run on N20 i got a nice run i felt but spun off the line
11.62 @ 120.87 1.79 60'
4th run
11.484 @ 121.23 1.74 60'
i was plenty happy with this run already. I thought, im only running a 50 shot on the car so i thought it was good enough, but just before i left i went in for one more run heat up my tires really good and it got better still.
final run
11.34 @ 121.01 1.61 60'
All in all it was a good night for the 5.0, nothing broke and was very happy with the results. Only thing that broke was 4 lugnuts on my right rear wheel. :bash: Im surprised my wheels didnt fall off the car which im thankful for:uh oh: Ill need to upgrade lugnuts for my rear wheels now but other than that the car did great.
Let me know what you guys think, i have my tune and plugs ready for the 100 shot but for now i think the 50 shot is enough

god, what I'd do for a good track. Granted they prep for the 60' really well, but they all seem to be slow on the back half around here.

I assume this was at RPR in Baytown. If so did they give you a hard time about not having a cage and other required safety equipment?

Good job. I have been thinking about throwing a small shot on my car to get into the 10s. I would say you did real well with only a 50 shot.

I'd be surprised if it was RPR. One run under 11.5, maybe get away with it. Two runs, probably not. They have always seemed pretty strict.

That being said, I hope it IS RPR. LoL. That means I could catch some slack on my car if I go there again with it.

Hit it with a 50 shot, you wont be dissapointed, and with a 50 shot itll be a while before you waste the bottle lol

I guess that little old lady just doesn't like me because no matter which of my cars I take it's always the same result. I made one pass in my big block Fox convertible and she said your done, so Then I started running my SuperCoupe and after every pass she said you can't go any faster or else, and of course with my 06 it's slow down to 11.49 or go home.

I may do that. What nitrous kit are you using?

A nx kit with nitrous outlet plate...

I know which old lady your talking about, she is real strict she even gets mad when you dont drive up with your helmet on, she wasnt there. It was another lady maybe late 40s, I didnt even wear my helmet once. they werent really saying anything last night so it was a good night.

There was a 1050hp porshe there running 10flat at 155 mph, he made multiple passes all night long, there were litterally 30 maybe 40 cars tops last night running.

very nice

Thanks man

i think your track is faster.

RPR doesn't screw around. I've been to numerous T&T's there, and traction is never an issue. That coupled with how wide it is makes it my favorite place to run.
