RetroGT2006s Interior Swap

So here it goes. Before i bought my brand new 06 GT i had just picked up a 07 Heat edition V6 with all black interior. When i returned that car back a week later i found my current car. Never was happy with Light graphite leather interior..

Bought brand new 2011 5.0 seats from Ford (black w/ white stitching). Bruce aka Boozshey got me brand new black floormats and carpet out of the same 09 gt500 he did Alex's aka Bigpappy33s drivetrain swap. Finally got around to installing today. Haven't finished the front seats, that is for tomorrow morning =). Here it is so far.

For anyone that is going to do the swap or wants to know- to remove the seat belts- it is a Torx T-47.. Didn't realize i needed one so i got my car all gutted and was bummed because i searched 3 places to find the right size.

Looks way better man. How much did the leather run you?

I'm confused. Did you order 2011 seats, or just the leather covers?

Bought the covers straight from ford. Didn't need the whole seat.

Looks legit!! I can't wait to finish mine tomorrow and take some pix.

And the covers were just $300? Really?

You need to do the dash there too. I did the entire gray to black swap on the gf's car -- just need to swap the leathers.

Yup $296 shipped to my door to be exact.. lol. Nope I have the opportunity to get a new dash headliner door panels etc.. I am keeping the gt/cs two tone. It looks better imo.

Hmmm. I was all over doing this a couple months ago, but someone told me they wouldn't work on the older seats as there was a difference in the back or head rest. You had no issues with them installed on pre 11 seats?

What was the company you bought them from? Link?

That's what people on the forum claimed, but they've never done it so they can't say. The Ford dealership I bought it from said they fit and as I already found out, they do. more pix tomorrow, but it'll be on my digital cam, not my phone.

Yeh for only 300 bucks and about 4 hours of work its really worth it IMO

I got a whole set for $150 in the classifieds talking all seat covers, 4 floor mats and carpet.

Yeah all I've done so far was easy n smooth sailing.

Yup, cheap upgrade for you guys. I've been waffling changing out my red interior. I love it, but it's tough to beat an all black interior.

Retro, that was a killer deal you got. I also like your new shifter.

Yeah great deal indeed. My parents always tell me not buy shit but they saw this deal and told me to order it since I always talked about doing the swap.

My shifter is the same.. stock auto shifter. Next up is my tci rachet shifter before my turbo build is complete..
