Unbeknownst to me till I slowed down some vids at home, my tire pressures seem to be way too low.
I was messing with the shocks and 2 step rpm but didn't think to raise the pressure in my tires. I was at 14psi cold, but check out what happens at launch...
More rim slamming tire bounce, if the tired had more PSI it wouldn't get smashed. (at least that is my best guess)
Setup is UCA mount in upper hole and LCA relo's in upper hole so it's not too much anti-squat anymore.
Shocks on the QA-1 single adjustables I went from 3 from soft to 6 fromt soft to 4 to 5 etc... tried them all, no help.
Wish i would have thought of that shit at the track!
It bounces so fast you can only hardly see it in a slow mo.
My theory it's its hooking then unloading on the bounce and losing traction causing me to want to put my fist through the radio.
I went all the way down to 4300 on the 2-step.
so I'm planning to pick up a set of 15" Weld RTS rears (with M/T ET street bias ply tires) soon, but I have no idea what pressure to run with their additional sidewall. I don't want to replicate your videos
here's my 17" tire on 14psi (or maybe it was 15psi). I had to run it that low because there was minimal track prep. The tire moved just over 1/8" on the rim
I run 18psi cold at MIR, and it hooks so well I may start going higher
The camera angle of the in-car vid doesn't do your car justice on how it boogies down the track! Of course it wasn't supposed to but jus sayin. I like the way it scurries in the original vid!!
