because it is your observation, your opinion that the light is too bright. it doesnt bother me or anyone else out there It is an opinion that you have, it is not tech. Seriously man, drop it. The thread is in chit chat, its not getting moved back

Dude, I'm not trying to get it moved back. I said I was sorry it was posted in the wrong place so obviously I don't care that it was moved. Again you are misunderstanding what I'm saying but I don't care.
And again your argument makes no sense.

So if it's my observation then it's not tech. So, if someone says that in their opinion a certain set of cams are better than another then that's not tech? since it's their observation? The tech section is full of "observations" about performance so your statement is BS. I'll drop it because bottom line I WAS WRONG to post it in that area, SORRY.

But your arguments have made no sense and you have misunderstood what I've said and it's going to get ugly so I'll just let it go.

Again, I appologize to all the "Tech" guys for wasting their time with the post. Maybe someone out there get's my point and will understand my argument as to why I made the mistake, not that I'm asking for it to be moved back or anything. Just saying that it was an easy mistake to make you it wasn't that big of a deal for everyone to get all pissy about since technically, lights are tech (in the real world) even if they aren't on here. . .

off the soap box daniel. No need to apologize to the world cause you put a thread in the wrong spot. there doesn't need to be drama as this isnt high school. Wrong section, thread got moved, no big deal. Just make a informed decision to where you start your threads in the future and all is well.

Yeah, you're right. No need for drama.

I just looked at the options for the sections and made an informed decision that since I was asking a "technical" question about an electronic device (tech) that I should put it in a section called "tech"
Just doesn't make sense to me that a question about electronics which are technical devices are to be asked in "chit chat" instead of tech.
It just really pissed me off that people got so offended about it, since in the real world lights are considered "tech" just as much as engines or anything else.
"chit chat" seems to me to be an area for just general BS and I felt my question was technical not general BS.
I admit I was wrong, but if you think about it, it's a pretty easy misteak if your thinking about the true deffinition of "tech" and the ones that get all up in arms about it should consider that before they get on their soap boxes.

I thought mine was too bright as well. I don't use brights that much after switching to the HID's though.

Not tech.

But yea, it annoys me too. I just position the steering wheel to where it covers it. Problem semi-solved. :nk:

In related news, when the hell is someone gonna do something about those blinding brake lights? I blew out my neighbor's retina the other day turning into my driveway.

Thanks for all the ideas!! I'm thinking the best way might be actually opening up the dash and putting a tinted piece on the back of the panel so it does the same job but isn't noticed at all. Any of you guys ever pop the dash out on one of these? I wonder how hard it is.

P.S. Sorry about the above. I'm not 100% crazy about the categories on here sometimes. There are times when stuff could go either way depending on how you look at it. I guess I feel that if something is wrong the Mod can just move it and no one needs to act like someone is stupid for doing it. Or at least just say "dude that should probably go somewhere else" instead of "are you F-ing kidding me" etc. and acting like I personally offended them because I made a simple mistake.
But I quit smoking today, lol So, I guess I got a little on the defensive, sorry. My bad, lol

Taking the cluster out is easy. Pop the bezel off, remove the four screws, and it's out. The plastic cover is held on with a few plastic clips.

Welcome and good luck with quitting the smokes. Good decision.

lol, Yeah, this is my 3rd time quitting. I got caught by my gf with some pix of this little 19 year old hottie I work with on my phone that she had sent me. It was a hard week, lol But I'm back on the wagon, again. Thanks for the advice I'll let you guys know how it turns out when I get me some stuff to put on it when I take it out.
